Governor Chris Christie is fully going after establishment support by saying Marco Rubio is too extreme on the issue of life because he doesn’t allow for rape and incest exceptions. This is despicable because he’s attacking the entire pro-life movement with this attack.
Christie wants it both ways. He wants to be seen as pro-life but not one of those weirdo pro-lifers who aren’t electable who believe ALL life is sacred. Christie is arguing this on the grounds of conscience but that’s a sham. This is an argument about electability and he sees it as a leg up electorally. And look, he may be right on an electoral basis, but either life is sacred or it’s not.
And do we need another politician who angles himself on this most important issue?
