Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf is refusing to lift the COVID-19 restrictions until Memorial Day, despite requests of thousands of business owners who want to have the state opened two days earlier so they can finally have a busy weekend after a year and a half of lockdowns.

At a news conference, Wolf said, “We all decided May 31, midnight on Memorial Day would be the day we lift those restrictions…They’ll be fully lifted on May 31. I’m comfortable and I think most Pennsylvanians are too that we’re doing the right thing.”

Because Monday is so much more scientific than Friday, amiright?
