Remember in The Music Man, Professor Harold Hill came to town running a con about a boy’s band that used the “think method.” All the kids had to do was think about playing a tune and soon they’d be able to play it.
It seems that many young people today believe in Prof. Harold HIll’s methods. Thinking is doing.
Take this for example from Christianity Daily:
Christian Millenials are more generous to charities than their non-Christian counterparts based on a study released by LifeWay Research and sponsored by AdelFi last week.
The “Adelfi Study of Financial Attitudes and Practices of Young Adults,” as per The Christian Post, involved 905 young adults aged 25 to 40 years old, which is also known as Millenials or Gen Yers. Almost half of the study’s respondents–495–were Christians. The goal of the study, which was conducted between January 18 to 22, is to see how Millenials related to money.
LifeWay Research CEO Scott McConnell explained in a statement that Adelfi wanted to understand how Christian youths handled money differently than non-Christians. McConnell also concluded that Christian youths were similar to non-Christians when it comes to striving to do good with their spending. However, the former is more active in donating than the latter.
One would expect Christians to give more than non-Christians to churches and religious organizations, but they are also more likely to donate to 3 out of 4 other types of recipients. While overall the financial generosity of Christian young adults is very noticeable, there remains a large group who don’t practice their belief in the need to give to a local church,” McConnell said.
McConnell elaborated that Christian Millenials would donate beyond churches and religious organizations. Almost half of these young adults or 47$ donated to families or other individuals in need. While a majority of non-Christian Millenials or 62% would not give money to families or individuals in need.
You see, they don’t have to DO anything. They think about their concern for humanity’s plight and that instantly makes them better people. They send their thoughts to the Ukraine and expect others to go to war. They feel bad for the poor and demand millionaires face higher taxes. And when they don’t agree with you politically, they just wish you into the cornfield.
That’s why the worst crimes you can commit right now is wrong think. Did you burn down the city? Yes. But wait, you did it to advance the cause of leftism so you’re ok. You’re mostly peaceful.
OK. Mr. Trucker did you burn down the city? No. I honked my horn for the unvaccinated. OK then, ooff with you to the gulag and all your bank accounts are frozen you right wing nut job. To the gulag with you.
It’s all about what you think.
Being a good Christian on the other hand requires practice, practice, practice. We believe faith without works is dead. We talk about being judged by our fruits.
Professor Harold Hill eventually realized the error of his ways. Pray that America’s youth does as well because if If this continues we will have trouble trouble trouble right here in America. With a capital T…

It’s a bit off topic – but Christians really ought to think before donating money, time or other resources to an organization just because it calls itself a charity, and claims to be doing good. I have not found a single major charity that is not overtly leftist-activist (i.e. stated on their web pages as a mission statement, and/ or listed as an activity) – hence evil.
And indeed all but the smallest church charities are the same. It has become almost impossible to give money to a genuinely-good cause – if you take the trouble to look behind the label on the tin.
Otherwise Christians are voluntarily assisting Satan in his global strategy. Better to *do* nothing than actively assist The Enemy.

Check out 2nd Vote. They research companies regarding certain corporate values and donations and then assign them a score between 1 and 5. Three is neutral.

That’s Christian with a C and it rhymes with P and that stands for Pool!
I’ve read that conservatives tend to be more generous towards charities as well, which is why if you watch Fox News or NewsMax you’ll see lots of ads for various charities. Can’t say if they advertise on CNN, MSNBC because I don’t watch them.
