This is where I am. This is a crazy week to be a Catholic.
The Pope is consecrating Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. What?! What a time to be Catholic. So, is the pope implying that it wasn’t done before? That’s a huge debate in the Church. When I first started blogging about fifteen years ago it was kind of a fringe theory that the consecration hadn’t taken place. But in the past decade it’s become a VERY mainstream idea. In fact, I’d say the majority of Catholics I interact with don’t believe the consecration took place in the way Our Lady requested.
So, if we consecrate Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and a miracle happens and Russia is converted the world will see this. We literally could be on the verge of a mass conversion.
I know we’ve been through it as Catholics. We no longer have faith in our bishops and cardinals. Church teaching has come under fire. But Friday could literally change everything. I’m super excited. Let’s pray for a miracle here.
I pray that this happens Friday. I’m banking on a miracle. I’m praying for a miracle.

The pope is an atheist. Worshipping hearts is fake and gay. Instead of “the sacred heart of christ” just worship Christ. Instead of “the sacred heart of mary” just worship Christ. Instead of beleiving fake miracles of the sun moving that only a handful of denon possessed children in a turd world country saw because Satan doesn’t have the power to make it happen where civilization is advanced beyond wiping your butt with your bare hand nor can Satan actually move the sun but only make it appear so to a few denon possessed children abused and twisted by a pedofile priest—worship Christ and forget this “Our Lady of Fatima” idol which is only a demon. And if you want to say Mary, just say Mary—drop this “Our Lady of X” “sacred heart of” pagan nonsense.
March 24, 2022 at 7:07 pm
Similar terms for Mary were about even prior to the compilation of the Bible.
March 23, 2022 at 5:31 pm
Furthermore what nonsense to want Russia to “convert” to the Roman Heresyism of V2—they’re better off sticking with Russian Orthodoxy.
And it would be worse nonsense to want them to convert to being Sedevanticists who prattle all day about Fatima—then they would 100 years from now be saying “no pope has ever yet consecrated our country to the Sacred Heart of the Fatima demon-woman! oh no!”—they’re better off sticking with Russian Orthodoxy and staying away from the pagan nonsense of BOTH versions of Romanism.
March 23, 2022 at 5:44 pm
And to anyone who will say “the Orthodox are in schism because they rejected the popes in 1100 AD!” So they become Sedevanticists early! Sounds like they were ahead of the curve. Its Catholics, its the West, its NATO, that needs to convert—to Orthodoxy! That’s what the real Mary would say if she made housecall apparitions to little girls in the middle of nowhere.

Jorgen – Did any of that needed to be said? Why do all you keyboard warrior Orthobro gammas all sound the same? Yes, we get it, Eastern Orthodoxy is so cool and edgy and everybody has to try it, dude! It is definitely daddy’s favorite Church and totally hasn’t joined the side of evil alongside every other institution.
Now, scram.
March 24, 2022 at 9:48 am
the gammas are the Fatimites gokng on and on and on that “Russia hasn’t ever been consecrated to Our Idol of Fatima’s Demon Heart like she asked” despite JPII doing it and then the Soviet Union breaking up which some claimed was proof it worked—-but the Fatimatards keep insisting Russia bad. I’m convinced dumb Catholic Fatima lunatics may actually be behind all the “Russia! Russia! Russia!” idiocy of the last 6 years, so yes it needs to be said. All who believe in Fatima have abandoned Christianity—-period. And abandoned their wits.

You wouldn’t know a Christian if one jumped up and loved you and himself for the love of God, George.

March 23, 2022 at 6:49 pm
jorgen:
Why are you posting here?
You sound somewhat frenzied.
Why?
March 23, 2022 at 10:36 pm
Why do you pretend to be a Christian when you are really a pagan goddess worshipper? Is one thing for mainstream Catholics to pray to Mary, but the Fatima lunatics take it to a whole nother level of pagan insanity. And its all about demonizing Russia because you’re a bunch of anti-white racists doing what your jew master popes tell you to do, i.e. hate white races. Once they’ve eradicated the Russians, it will be the Germans, the French, the Brits, etc. etc. There will be a “Our Lady of Some Other Muslim Name” to demonize each white race until the Jew Popes have used idiot Fatimatards to wipe out all whites. That’s if Europe even survives the nuclear war that you Fatimatards are causing!

Yes, our Lady wears army boots. She will crush his puny head. Eucharist, Confession, Rosary, works of mercy. So thankful to be Catholic,!!!! Lucia, Francisco, Jacinta, pray for us !
March 23, 2022 at 9:12 pm
Jorgen is having a bad day.
March 23, 2022 at 10:37 pm
When you Fatimatards succeed in causing WW3 by demonizing Russia over your demonic apparition from 1917 to some retard children, you’ll have an even worse day.
March 24, 2022 at 3:31 pm
Jorgen, why don’t you have a nice cup of Bosco and a graham cracker, and take a nap? Or take your meds. I would ask you why you are hanging out on the blog site of a faithful Catholic, but it sounds like you are frothing at the mouth with anti-Catholicism, so I wouldn’t expect you to reply coherently.
There now, feel better?
March 24, 2022 at 10:26 pm
George, George, why do you persecute Christ? It is hard for you to kick against the pricks.
March 24, 2022 at 2:47 am
How about consecrating Ireland to the Blessed Virgin? You know, the once-Catholic country that has recently embraced abortion, same-sex marriage, etc.? How about Italy? Argentina?
Nope. All the Curia know that that the evils indulged by those nations are just pretend. They know this from Sacred Late Night Television, from the Holy Google and the Blessed Washington Post. They have to PRETEND that these are sins as a part of their jobs, just like employees at a Disney park have to pretend they are always happy and Mickey Mouse is real, but when you get down to brass tacks, these aren’t the real sins. The real sins are, aside from saying the traditional Latin Mass, purely material and political in nature, because that is REAL. And it’s especially true when it’s someone else, definitely not Argentina, where the Pope was born and which is Catholic, or Italy, where his parents were born and which is Catholic.
Ugh.
Lord, when we cry Thee far and near
And thunder through all lands unknown
The gospel in to every ear,
Lord, let us not forget our own.
— Chesterton

If you want them to recognize those evils then have your kids claim a claim like the Fatima claim and start a new Marian Avatar cult “Our Lady of Some City In Ireland.”
March 24, 2022 at 10:25 pm
The Body of Christ already recognises the credibility of the apparitions of Our Lady of Knock, George.
March 24, 2022 at 11:58 pm
Don’t get me wrong. Although the apparitions at Fatima were private revelation, and therefore not binding, I give the credence on the basis of the evidence, the Church’s investigation, and the overall feel of them. (Real apparitions of the Blessed Virgin Mary tend basically to say, “Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand.”) It’s just that whenever I think of THIS action, taken by THIS pope, at THIS time, in THIS way, I come up with far too many objections. It’s a little like someone who has “wasted his substance, living riotously” praying that he would win the lottery and hoping he is on the verge of a miracle. I DO NOT EXPECT ONE (other than the remarkable miracle that we have not blown ourselves up already, which I believe to be literally miraculous). We did the quick and easy thing in 1984. What we need now, and what we have always needed, is sacrifice, and persistence, and thoughtfulness, and consistent holiness.
But let me try to be more positive. If this consecration of Russia and Ukraine stimulates more people to deeper prayer, maybe it will germinate that sacrifice, and persistence, and thoughtfulness, and holiness. It will not convert Russia, at least not directly, but maybe it will convert *US*, and AFTER WE ARE CONVERTED, we will be able to evangelize Russia, China, and the whole world. Converting the nations of NATO and the EU would be a miracle that would make the dancing sun look like nothing.

I read the text of the supposed consecration prayer, and it struck me as full of dishonest and devious inversions of Christianity .
“even as your heart beats with compassion for them and for all those peoples decimated by war, hunger, injustice and poverty.”
This comes across as a woke parody of the ‘Four Horsemen’ together with an incompetent usage of the word ‘decimated’. When did ‘injustice’ become a Christian category, let alone a cause of ‘decimation’? Why replace ‘famine’ (which does kill) with ‘hunger’ (which doesn’t). And ‘poverty’ as it was used in the Bible, barely exists in 2022 – and Biblical poverty certainly does not characterize the nations under discussion.
In short, the actual text of the prayer – https://www.ncregister.com/cna/marian-consecration-prayer-for-ukraine-russia-released-by-vatican – reveals its secular, leftist and political activist motivations; a twisted parody of what is needed and would be appropriate.
March 24, 2022 at 5:56 am
Bruce, remember it’s a translation and don’t read too much into the details of the wording. For example, I’m pretty sure that “hunger” and “famine” are both acceptable translations of the Latin “fames.”
That said, I agree with your overall assessment. And regardless of the content of the prayer, person praying it is pretty clearly a Satanist, and I hardly expect any miracles to come from anything he does or says.
March 24, 2022 at 8:24 am
Jorgen, the Roman Catholic Church is the one true Faith. Come join the winning team. You know you want to. Stop fighting it.
March 24, 2022 at 9:37 am
The Orthodox recognized your popes were antichrist before the Prots and before the Sedes. But you still don’t. How sad. After you die, when you awake in hell and look up, the popes will all be there with you laughing that you followed them there.
March 24, 2022 at 10:23 pm
Wow, George. You’re like a caricature of a Mount Athos-style anti-Christian “Orthodox.”
March 24, 2022 at 9:00 am
Now now children. It is time to stop fighting and start praying.
March 24, 2022 at 3:55 pm
Fine; but on the street corners, so everyone can see us?
March 24, 2022 at 3:26 pm
I am with you in prayer, Mr. Archbold. And I wholeheartedly support Pope Francis in his efforts to relieve the suffering of the Ukrainians, to end the war, and to consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Who cares if previous consecrations were or were not complete and valid? When we ask for Our Lady’s intercession on anything, do we stop at one Rosary? No, we storm heaven and make pests of ourselves, like St. Monica.
We do not have to like Pope Francis, and he isn’t perfect all day/every day. But he is our Pope, and we must pray for him. And when he asks us to pray in a situation like this – when lives are in mortal danger – we must support him.
I do not express myself well, Mr. A, but I appreciate your efforts to urge others to pray and support Pope Francis in this endeavor, which I believe is very worthy. He has sent two cardinals to assess the situation of the Ukrainian people and to discern how the Church can relieve suffering there. He has visited the Russian embassy in person to beg for a peaceful end to the war. And now he wants to place the people of Ukraine and Russia under the merciful protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Like you, I support His Holiness’s efforts.
My good pastor will be leading all of us at 12 PM EDT tomorrow before our daily Mass in reciting the Consecration prayer, which will take place at the same time as Pope Francis prays for the Consecration of Ukraine and Russia. I will be there with my fellow parishioners, praying for the protection of the Ukrainians, for a peaceful end of the war, and that the souls of the Ukrainians and Russians will be under the protection of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
God bless and protect all here.

Seemas to me to pray on a street corner where everyone can see would take a lot of courage.
March 24, 2022 at 10:22 pm
Cool it already, George.
