I’d like to hear someone from the past few decades go into a detailed discussion of St. Joan of Arc. If I’m making stuff up, I would say God does not much care if the Christians of France have an English or a French king … but the saint said otherwise. She should be believed in preference to me.
Maybe we’re so weak and pathetic that such questions no longer pertain to us. Or, maybe, we’re so weak and pathetic that we no longer hear any demands from God but the very most basic.
