We keep reading and hearing that Gen Z is perhaps the most conservative generation we’ve seen in a while but then things like this come out. Ha! Come out!

This actually makes sense to me. Gen Z’ers are on the front line of this issue. Gen Xers like me could be lukewarm on the issue when we were growing up. It wasn’t in our face. It seemed a heckuva lot more theoretical. There was one guy in our neighborhood we were all sure was gay but he ended up marrying a girl. I remember, years later one of my brothers drunkenly asked him if he’d been faking gay all those years in order to get close to the girls.
He asked, “What do you mean?”
My brother said, “Oh, never mind.”
But Gen Z grew up different, They had to make a conscious stand on it. Their teachers preached the glories of LGBTness. The media hailed anyone who “came out” as a hero. Who doesn’t want to be a hero? And anyone who resisted was pushed to the side and marginalized. They were called homophobe. They were accused of intolerance, the worst sin of the 21st century.
This kind of behavior will inevitably get some pushback. And when these young people realize that they no longer trust their teachers, the media, or even their parents in some cases they start reconsidering everything they’ve been told about things like religion.
Gen Zers grew up being told that the Catholic Church was a gang of homophobic, child-raping, money hungry fraudsters more interested in earthly power than eternal truth. But Gen Z is pushing back. They’re reconsidering Christianity as a whole. They see firsthand what no religion gets you. They’ve witnessed the LGBT Stasi reporting wrong-think. They’ve been accused of privilege, the original sin that can’t be washed off. They’ve been cancelled or seen the impact of it.
So, in the end, this is the weird thing about Christianity. The worst it gets the better it gets. The ultimate proof of this is the resurrection itself. Nothing is more wrong than Jesus dying on the cross. Yet that brought about the greatest good. The horrible and violent end to martyrs inspires the faith of millions.
So in the end, I believe things are going to get a lot worse. And maybe that’s for the best. The good news will come at the worst time. The light will shine through the dark.

You idiots simply can’t ever admit you’re losing. You’ve got the Orange Dungheap soiling the Oval Office for the rest of his life — Trump will cancel all future elections and declare martial law and you will celebrate him doing that — but Trump is not actually immortal. One day his bad his slovenly habits will catch up with him, and because he is a raging narcissistic fascist he will never allow anyone near enough to be his heir and at that point, you will see just how much your church has destroyed Christianity and how much young people hate your Nazi teachings. Gen Z knows what you are.
