Anyone who is a half decent parent understands that children sometimes need to be protected from their own short sighted decision making. By indulging the children you abdicate your responsibility as a parent.
If the kid came home with the idea that the Klan was a pretty right on about a thing or two, your responsibility as a parent is to dissuade them from that notion. But for some reason if your girl decides she’s a boy, you have to take that as your marching orders is ridiculous.

So when her kid says. “Mommy, I hate you” she says “Good, honey.” “Go with that”.
Mentally/emotionally people realize the truth of what Andy is saying.
UNstable people do not. They are most comfortable with OTHER unstable people.
