Dobbs was a moment, huh? 50 years of legalized abortion where pro-lifers could do nothing to stop it because the highest court in the land deemed it a right so states could only nibble at the margins.

We marched, we protested, and we prayed that Roe v. Wade could someday be overturned and then…it happened. We all had considered it so unlikely for years, we viewed this as almost a miracle. We couldn’t have been more grateful.

And then we got our butts kicked. A lot.

Since Dobbs in June 2022, the legal landscape for abortion has been determined by individual states. Many states immediately took steps to liberalize abortion access, including states like California, Michigan, Ohio, and Vermont amending their state constitutions to explicitly enshrine abortion as a right.

In 2024, voters in many other states also passed measures to protect abortion “rights.”

State supreme courts in some states have interpreted their state constitutions to include a right to abortion, even if not explicitly stated. States such as Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New York, North Dakota, Ohio, Vermont, and Wyoming have a right to abortion in their state constitutions, either explicitly or as interpreted by the state supreme court. Other states, like Oregon and Massachusetts, protect abortion under state law.

According to Axios, the monthly average number of abortion increased each year since 2022.

Look, if you believe in the sanctity of life then you’ve got to admit, we’re not exactly winning, are we?

Not yet, anyway. After Dobbs, the pro-abortion side went to work. They did it the way they always do. They lobbied politicians, they filed cases, they introduced constitutional amendments, and ran ads scaring single women. That’s always Plan A in the leftist playbook.

And they implemented it.

So, if you’re serious about protecting life, if you truly believe every life is sacred, then it’s time for a gut check.

We too have to lobby politicians and scare them when they go against us.

While the left can scare women, we have the much harder job of changing hearts. That’s what we’re called to do.

Pray. Mobilize. Strategize. Implement. And support your local crisis pregnancy center with time and money.

The future of this country, and the most vulnerable among us, depends on us.

And, of course, pray for another miracle. We could use it.
