Lionsgate is announcing plans for The Resurrection of The Christ in two parts: Part One will release on Good Friday, March 26, 2027. Part Two will open 40 days later on the Feast of the Ascension, Thursday, May 6, 2027.

I guess he’s going to age down Jim Caveizel who still looks pretty damn similar to how he looked twenty years ago. Reportedly, he’s not just doing a film following Acts in the Bible. Supposedly, he’s going into salvation theology. I think Mel is our greatest filmmaker right now.

I’ll be there opening day.
