Faithful Catholics are being deprived of their familiar and historic mode of worship without an explanation as to why. Father McTeigue takes a closer look.

As one who has been disobediant to the Church in my past, I’ve been trying and mostly succeeding in listening to my Church for the past 35 years or so, so it is very difficult for me to be totally defiant against the banning of the TLM. Don’t take me the wrong way. I WANT to be able to attend TLM whenever I can or anyone else who wants. Yet, when our shepherds tell us we can’t and forbids us to attend or makes it so much more difficult to attend TLM, what do we do? Defy the authority of the Church like Luther did? Or accept in obedience(Like Padre Pio did with his own bishop) in humility? Do we rejoice in our suffering as St. Paul said, to rejoice in suffering for the Lord? To tell you the truth, the Catholic Church gave us the Latin Mass and the Novus Ordo. The latter being legitimate liturgy since it was given to us by the Catholic Church. If it had been iligitamate do we really think God would have forced us to accept it? He knows we have to obey His Church. It would be cruel of Him to give us a fake Mass. We all have to take a deep breath and realize this is the testing of our faith. An untested faith is a weak faith. Despite seeming unfairness and injustice, do we rebel?? Or accept in faithful obedience(he who listens to you listens to me and the father who sent me) even if we suffer for it. Yes to some the solution is easy, to others, not so much. We live in difficult times. Don’t let it drive us to dive over board from Peter’s Barque. We are being tested people, perservere without falling into sin.

I know I said I wouldn’t comment or read this blog after the awful crude comment I read on another post but….I like Matt. What can I say. Thanks Matt.
