Jay Jones was voted in as attorney general. The voters chose violence.

A disturbing trend has taken hold across the United States. Americans are seemingly okay with political violence. Not only did Jay Jones say he wished violence upon a political opponent but also upon his children. What was once considered unthinkable has seeped into the mainstream. It’s a chilling development, one that threatens the very fabric of our nation.

Mind you, a great many Democrats refused to condemn this rhetoric.

Last night’s election didn’t happen in a vacuum. It reflects a deeper, more troubling change in the American psyche. We’ve seen it on social media, in protests that turn violent, and in the rhetoric that now often revolves around “defending” one’s side at any cost. As political polarization deepens, some Americans admit to seeing violence not just as acceptable, but as a legitimate tool for advancing their cause.

What does this mean? It means we’ve rejected Christianity. Rejecting Christ is rejecting life and love. And what you’re left with is death. It’s that clear.

All life is a pilgrimage. You choose which road and where it leads. I have chosen Jesus Christ. He is the way, the truth, and the life.

Many in our country choose death and darkness. They choose that their will be done, no matter the consequence.

We’re teetering on the edge of chaos. A nation that tolerates or embraces violence in the name of politics is a nation on the brink of suicide.

It’s imperative that we recognize this trend and recognize it for what it is. Because if we don’t, the only winners will be those who thrive in chaos and our country will pay the ultimate price.
