Please take a moment to listen to Fr. Robert McTeigue’s excellent radio show on The Catholic Current. It is excellent despite a sub par guest.
He writes: We welcome back Matt Archbold of Creative Minority Report to sift through some of the more bewildering headlines in the Church and the world. From eyebrow-raising religious imagery to baffling remarks from prominent Christian leaders, is it possible to stay sane, and even keep a sense of humor, when things seem to be going off the rails?

Have not seen the video; can’t fathom why a Catholic would do that unless he was trying too hard to fit in. Important question is what he believes and does now. Is it a sign of the Apocalypse? Maybe, but then, there have been a number of popes who should have already brought it on, and they seem powerless to do so.
I receive the same Lord at the Latin Mass as I do at my local parish Mass in English or at the Eastern Rites. If the bishop has the power to bind and loosen, then a lot of the questions about the liturgical worship are on him. Standing and kneeling are included. Not to say we should be bozos. Nor can he bind us to sin. So the net effect? Pray and sacrifice for the Pope and all the bishops and priests. That’s worth riling up the hen house over, if we would actually do something about it .
Ok, someone should do a St. Paul, slam Peter into the boards if Peter did this before he was Kepha. Would like to see that too

Praying for an asteroid is NOT something you want to do. As Monsignor Pope said, do not believe thst if you ask for a chastisement and God sends it you will be spared.
I would add that if you ask God to nuke the world out of existence, then you are placing yourself on ground zero. Christians are to intercede and ask God’s mercy for the world.
