Meryl Streep will officially voice Aslan in Greta Gerwig’s ‘NARNIA: THE MAGICIAN’S NEPHEW’.

In the books by Christian CS Lewis, Aslan the Lion is Jesus. This isn’t even one of those things like that idiot running for Senate in Texas arguing that God is non-binary. But this isn’t even God (the Father).This is supposed to be Jesus.
This is a middle finger from Hollywood. And I know that millions of Christians will march right into the theater and call it a “masterpiece” and say this is true to Lewis’ vision and they’ll speak derisively about their pea-brained fellow Christians who are upset about it.

Tolkien is everything good, and thus is irreconcilably at war with Modernity — so the forces of Modernity want to subvert and corrupt their literature, to turn what they imagined, what they wrote, into a weapon against everything they believed and stood for. Someone needs to tell Greta that the Ape dressing a donkey in a lion’s costume is a villain, not a hero. Maybe then she’ll start acting like the faithful Narnians instead of the Ape, and stop trying to trick people into thinking that Aslan and Tash are the same person.
