Two Father’s Day anecdotes.
One – My daughter told me last night that she put my Father’s Day present in a very safe place. So safe that in fact, she can’t remember where she put it. She told me I would get it eventually. I was just glad my seven year old knew the word “eventually.”
Two – I am a stay at home Dad. I left my newspaper gig years ago when we started having children. My mother-in-law clearly doesn’t know what to make of this. She came up to me and wished me “Happy Mother’s Day” the last two Mother’s Days. And she meant it. Let’s see what she says on “Father’s Day.”
Happy Father’s Day.
