I’d remind her that humans are called to love others as they love themselves.

This is narcissism. Pure and simple. Me. Me. Me. She testified against the overturning of Roe by representing some abortion advocacy group.

Now, to be fair, aren’t most murders serving oneself? “Hey, that guy has money I want” is an act of self love too, right? Should that be legal too? Or how about the man who kills his wife because he found a new girlfriend? Isn’t that self love too?

Acting out of self interest is not actually love though. You are not loving yourself. You are feeding your worst instincts and creating a sad and lonely reality.

This view of the world is so awful. It pretends that everyone else’s worth is gauged upon the impact on you and you alone.
