Hey, I’m impressed that they actually admitted it. Normally they lie and just call the conservative group racist or anti-semitic so that they don’t have to actually say that they no longer espouse the beliefs of the Catholic Church on sexuality and gender.

But now that Turning Point USA has called them on it, now they’re going full turtle and not commenting. Cowards.

THE DAILY SIGNAL: Saint Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana, denied the foundation of a Turning Point USA chapter, according to an email from the dean of students, because Turning Point USA’s messaging on biological sex does “not align” with the Catholic college’s mission.

Claire Bettag, a sophomore student from Chicago, pushed back against Saint Mary’s denial of the club over the course of several months, according to emails reviewed by The Daily Signal. But the college’s dean of students, Gloria Jenkins, ultimately told Bettag that Turning Point USA’s messaging on transgender issues does not align with Saint Mary’s mission.

“I’m not sure why they call themselves a Catholic university if their values don’t align with the Catholic Church,” Bettag said in a Friday phone interview.

“Turning Point is obviously a conservative-based club,” she added. “When they say that Turning Point’s morals don’t align with their values, I think that just really meant that Turning Point’s politics don’t align with their politics.”…

The Daily Signal repeatedly reached out to Saint Mary’s College and Jenkins about this email and about Saint Mary’s stances on biological sex. The college did not respond to requests for comment.

Why didn’t they respond? Because there is no defense. They are not Catholic anymore. They are embarrassed by Jesus.

Jesus spoke plainly about marriage. Matthew 19.

Some Pharisees approached him, and tested him,* saying, “Is it lawful for a man to divorce his wife for any cause whatever?”
He said in reply, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’?
So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no human being must separate.”

What’s unclear there? Male and Female. A man shall leave…and be joined to his wife.

Pretty clear. But the administrators at the “Catholic” Saint Mary’s College know better than Jesus. They’re woke and woke trumps Jesus.
