Sooooooo….if you show up to Mass looking like this in San Francisco you can receive the Eucharist.

But if you do this in Charlotte, you can’t receive the Eucharist?

LIFESITE reports: Bishop Michael Martin of Charlotte reportedly refused to give Holy Communion to families who knelt at an altar rail during a recent Confirmation Mass.
The two or three families who approached the rail were passed over for Holy Communion during the Mass at Our Lady of Grace parish in Greensboro, North Carolina, according to a report by AdVaticanum. Our Lady of Grace previously offered the Traditional Latin Mass before suppression by Martin last October.
One father who attended the Mass with his family told the outlet about Martin: “He was sitting in front of us when we went to the rail and he simply ignored us. All the priests turned their backs on us.”
Martin, who Pope Francis appointed to lead the conservative Diocese of Charlotte in 2024, has become notorious for his crackdown on the Latin Mass, altar rails, and kneelers.
He decreed in December that all parish churches in the diocese must stop using altar rails and remove kneelers for the reception of Holy Communion.
I honestly don’t understand the animosity towards those who wish to kneel before the Eucharist and receive on the tongue. Why are we supposed to be against these people?
But, on the other hand, why is a family going to film this happening? I get they’re attempting to expose this behavior but they had someone there recording it. So was their mind really on receiving the Eucharist or was it on exposing the bishop?
Look, I side with the traditionalists but I just feel a bit weird about going to Mass with the intent of exposing the bishop. I hope they went to another Mass and received.
But we should pray that Bishop Martin reconsiders this outrageous stance.
