The CEO of Mozilla has been forced to resign because he once donated $1,000 bucks in favor of Proposition 8. You’d never know the thing passed, would you? You’d think he was guilty of joining some raucous militia, not agreeing with the majority of people in California.
Ready for the height of irony.
In a statement on the Mozilla website, executive chairwoman Mitchell Baker, said: “Brendan Eich has chosen to step down from his role as CEO. He’s made this decision for Mozilla and our community,” Baker wrote. “Mozilla believes both in equality and freedom of speech. Equality is necessary for meaningful speech. And you need free speech to fight for equality. Figuring out how to stand for both at the same time can be hard.”
So if you’re a supporter of traditional marriage, you’re not fit to work for a large company. Got it? That’s because they’re tolerant.
Could you imagine if this happened to CEO for endorsing same-sex marriage?
