Former Denver QB Jake Plummer attempts to prove he’s a jerk. Succeeds wildly.

In an interview recently, he was asked about Tim Tebow, who is succeeding despite pretty much every sports analyst calling him “garbage.” Plummer said Tebow was a winner but he did wish he’d shut up about one particular subject. The Jesus.

“Tebow, regardless of whether I wish he’d just shut up after a game and go hug his teammates, I think he’s a winner and I respect that about him. I think that when he accepts the fact that we know that he loves Jesus Christ then I think I’ll like him a little better. I don’t hate him because of that, I just would rather not have to hear that every single time he takes a good snap or makes a good handoff…like you know, I understand, dude, where you’re coming from … but he is a baller.

Nice guy, huh?

I don’t know if Tebow will make a long term NFL quarterback but he seems like a great guy. And to me talking a lot about Jesus is kind of a good thing to be known for, don’t you think? Hey which is a better way to spend your time in the national spotlight, talking constantly about Jesus or talking about the awesomeness of yourself.
