This is pretty darn outrageous. General Petraeus is an American hero and for him to be ridiculed by some ridiculous politician who gets her talking points from Rolling Stone Magazine is just terrible.

Couldn't even watch the whole thing.
One of the greatest sacrifices we make as Christians is the giving up of our otherwise natural inclinations towards the administration of simple corporal corrective actions…. in other words: A good head smack!
What ignorance. Reminds me of Pat Schroeder – God rest her soul. What? No, she's not dead, but I mean it like, you know, the way Joe Biden means, "God love ya". Figur o' speech and all. I just hope they all get some rest.

Maybe she believed everything Sheen says about himself and thought comparig Petraeus to him was a compliment.

I didn't even bother listening to the drivel. I stopped short as soon as I saw "D-California"… that right there explains everything.

Isn't the Pope against war and imperialism?
I thought he was, am I wrong?

Yes, you are wrong. And Dutch. Two strikes.

So who said this?
"It was right to resist the war and its threats of destruction…It should never be the responsibility of just one nation to make decisions for the world."
Some crank?

Dutchman is right AND wrong. There are wars that should be fought, such as those in the defense of the innocent or in the defense of a ruthless antagonist, however, this was not one of those wars. However, it may be irrational to just withdraw suddenly without doing a work of mercy and cleaning up the country and making sure it's safe for regular people. Just my thoughts on that last point.

Is anyone surprised that she hails from California? The state seems to produce an inordinate amount of rather vacuous Congresswomen of a certain age…

Or, possibly she was paid to drop Charlie Sheen's name in an effort to keep him in the news. Because that was seriously random.

Ask the troops. Ask the soldiers who spend every other year there. I know many of them. My husband is one. He'd go over again. And again. And again. Why? Because they believe in it. Because they believe that by being there they are preventing another big terrorist strike. Because by being there, they can prevent Al-Qaeda from taking hold in that country. Because they love their country.

PS That Congresswoman is an idiot.

@KC thank you for your sacrifices as a family, and let your husband know that he is appreciated.
Yes, our troops are protectors of the innocents from the likes of the Taliban.
God keep them all safe.

Other than doing the bidding of Israel, there was no obvious reason for America to invade and occupy Iraq and so that is why the lies trying to justify the Unjust war were so egregious.
And General Petraeus simply bought the opposition, paid it off, as the way to secure "success" in the surge in Iraq and he will do the same thing in Afghanistan.
These wars have not made us safer but they have bleed us into the red and so now the powers that be will go after pensions and programs for the average American because that is where the money is.
Giving money to Muslims in Foreign Countries so they will not kill single mothers who unjustly occupy their lands while plans are developed (by the likes of Mr. Ryan) to take money from pensions and programs intended for American Christians is such an evil and insane idea that it could only make sense in Washington.
