Uh Oh. I have gone and done it now.
My latest piece at the Register is my own opinion and not necessarily that of the National Catholic Register. That said, I know I am right.

Patrick Archbold for President!

I told Jenkins in a letter that as long as he continued as president, I would not send any of my four children to my alma mater. When they called to ask for donations, I said no, because of their stance on abortion. Notre Dame is not a shining example of Catholic teaching. We need to find a different torch bearer. Well done Pat

Certainly, "aspects" is an unfortunate choice:
–noun
1.
appearance to the eye or mind; look: the physical aspect of the country.
2.
nature; quality; character: the superficial aspect of the situation.
3.
a way in which a thing may be viewed or regarded; interpretation; view: both aspects of a decision.
So, she is open to all interpretations, superficial appearances, or views of Catholic teaching.

Congratulations on a piece that would have been considered too "controversial" by the management of NCRegister only a year ago.
Or maybe you just haven't been caught yet.

I agree and I also have family connection to ND.
I think there was an opportunity for Fr. Jenkins to exhibit mettle but instead he engineered the "pack up our marbles and go home" response withdrawing the trustee candidate. In effect he is saying that they are taking their campaign on behalf of abortion underground. Going the wrong way. I do not hear that he gets that death cannot, especially by Catholics, be equated with, life. Catholics choose life and reject the offer of death to innocents.

While senator from Illinois, Barack Obama voted four times to abandon born children who survived abortion and became citizens at birth to die of neglect in a broom closet, rather than offering them healthcare and medical assistance. (See the video posted on Creative Minority Report of the Chinese man who worked at an abortion clinic in China and brought home the children who survived abortion, eighty five in number. Thirty mothers changed their minds after their abortion and claimed their children already born.) In America these citizens are left to die of neglect.
While at Georgetown University in Washington, then President Obama insisted that the IHS be covered over so that no one would think he believed in Jesus Christ or respected the university’s freedom to be Catholic. At Georgetown, Obama was given an Honorary degree with the implication that Georgetown supported Obama and his agenda to remove the Person of God and Jesus Christ from our midst.
At Notre Dame University, Obama was given another Honorary degree, again implying that Obama’s abortion agenda, human sacrifice, executing one human being for the crimes and sins of another human being, establishing worship of the devil, destroying civilization and instilling barbarism was not only acceptable and welcome but deserved reward.
The 88 Notre Dame people arrested for daring to object in the public square, which is what the premises of Notre Dame is since not only tax dollars but donations and contributions of all people makes the place a public place, giving all persons the right to be present. The right to be present is also occasioned by the presence of President Obama, as all citizens are constituents of his presidency, all citizens, including the 88 persons arrested and detained, and subjected to legal fees imposed to defense of their freedom and their civil rights under our Constitution. “For evil to triumph, good men must do nothing.” Sir Edmund Burke
Father Jenkins did nothing, and did nothing more to prevent Obama from using the good name and reputation of Notre Dame University as a prop for his campaign against human life.
That both Georgetown and Notre Dame chose to identify themselves with Hitler would have brought excommunication. Here we have self-excommunication.

When I was at SMC across the street from ND, I attended the 'debate' between Mario Cuomo and Hesburgh. The writing was on the wall then and it has been burned into the darkest parts of the soul at ND. Wouldn't it be ironic if CINO universities did loose their status as religious institutions on a national level? Would Caesar motivate them to start rendering to God what they have abandoned?

When two become one, God creates a human soul with LIFE and SOVEREIGN PERSONHOOD. God endows this newly begotten human being with unalienable rights. DNA indicates that the person is an individual and not part of the mother's body. Notre Dame is Our Lady's University. If not for Our Lady, then for the university, give the TRUTH freedom of speech. Ignorance of the law is no excuse in a court of law. Why has ignorance been officially promoted and become the dumbing down of academia? No one gets out of medical school without being forced to do an abortion. No one gets out of Notre Dame without being forced to take IGNORANCE 101
