Two stories out of New York that show that secular nutjobs are now running the lefty insane asylum.
First, objecting to the word “saints” in the classic song “When the saints come marching in,” some secular pychos at a middle school replaced the word ‘saints’ with ‘ants’.
As stupid as that story is, this one is really offensive. A bunch of idiot atheists are demanding that the name of a street dedicated to seven firefighters killed on September 11th because the street name includes the word heaven. Heaven.
(Fox News Radio) — A group of New York City atheists is demanding that the city remove a street sign honoring seven firefighters killed in the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks because they said the sign violates the separation of church and state.
The street, “Seven in Heaven Way,” was officially dedicated last weekend in Brooklyn outside the firehouse where the firefighters once served. The ceremony was attended by dozens of firefighters, city leaders and widows of the fallen men.
“There should be no signage or displays of religious nature in the public domain,” said Ken Bronstein, president of New York City Atheists. “It’s really insulting to us.”
These people are idiots. Idiots.
I prefer the song ‘when atheist jackasses come marching down idiot street’ myself.

Their unfaith is so fragile, it cannot bear any counter witness.

Takes an idiot to know and idiot, and you're definitely acting like an idiot. I have many atheist pro-choice friends. The only way to help them find God is to witness to them, not by insulting them as you often do on this lame-o blog. You lack true love my friend.

Hey Anon,
Get a grip. This is Christianity. Our Founder, Jesus Christ is not a whimpy, uber-tolerant fake as many seem to want us Christians to be.
True love? True love insists that the beloved not dress like a whore or be unfaithful or behave unseemly. If this hurts the beloved's feelings, then maybe this is a sign of the message getting through. It is a good thing to be uncomfortable with one's sins. It's like being uncomfortable when touching a hot stove. It is a sign! It is also a sign when someone tells you not to touch that stove. This may be intolerant, but it is most definitely "love".
FYI to all that insist on this false virtue of tolerance and whimpy love:
I hearby refuse to abide by your rules NOT laid down by the Church or Her Founder, Jesus Christ.
Way to go my Chihuahua brothers.
Do not cave to folks who want you to be "charitable" to a man who renounced his responsiblity to Our Lord and to us as his children.
His unfaithfulness should be spread throughout cyberspace as he has made it his platform to profit.
I came into the Church listening to Father Corapi, but I will not follow him out. Stick with the Shepherd- no sheepdog is trustworthy without him.
Enough said.
God bless you all,
Yvonne

Go Yvonne!
It's freedom OF religion…Not freedom FROM it…

Heh…Anonymous at 8:32pm, your post is just about a textbook example of irony.

To be fair, "When the ants go marching in" is a modified version of the song that has been around for ages. My kids actually know this version better than the original because I needed a way to keep them from freaking out every spring when our basement becomes an ant war zone.
The NYC thing, though? Gah. I would hope that most atheist-minded folk out there would have the sense to be embarrassed about that one.

No one doubts the 'nutiness' of their actions, but how in the world do you expect to win souls by calling them idiots repeatedly?
June 22, 2011 at 4:50 pm
this is really messed up! look at all the jerks in this world every day someone wants to screw with someone and look what these guys did? its just so wrong.
June 22, 2011 at 4:58 pm
Yes, yes he shouldn't have used the word "idiot." Instead he, as a Christian, should have used words that were used by Our Lord to describe some people, such as:
serpents
faithless and perverse
hypocrites
blind fools
evil
sons of the Devil
vipers
etc.
etc.
etc.
Actually, if you think about it, the word "idiot" IS charitable. Oh, and I have met some really nice people who were idiots. The fact that they were nice doesn't mean they were not, in fact, idiots or jackasses or blind fools, or hypocrites or faithless and perverse.
Oh, and a "nice" pro-choice person is still a person that supports the murder of defenseless children.
50+ years of being "charitable" and hiding behind namby-pamby excuses of "witnessing" and "not wanting to "rock the boat" to persons whose mission is to prevent the MAJORITY from expressing their faith in any manner what-so-ever has been so successful, hasn't it (insert sarcasm here)?
Goodbye to the United States of America. Hello to the United States of the Offended.

Atheists disavow "our Creator" "self-evident truths that all men are created equal and endowed with UNALIENABLE RIGHTS" Atheists have no legal standing in a court of law because they have repudiated our founding priciples and their citizenship. How can atheists be citizens in a country in whose founding principles they disbelieve, except by imposing their disbelief.
"SEVEN IN HEAVEN WAY" like the cross at the veteran's memorial, like every cross, Star of David and Cresent Moon is the fallen person's expression of his patriotism and cannot be denied by any living person until after he too has laid down his life for his fellow man. If the atheist chooses to have no sign to speak for him after death, fine. But nobody refuses to honor the sign language of a fallen hero, patriot, citizen, exercising his freedoms for which he died, except the atheist forfeiting his own citizenship.
Mary De Voe
P.S. Atheists do not believe in the human soul, therefore atheists cannot believe that all men are created equal and that sovereign personhood is endowed into their soul at creation of the human being as stated in our Declaration of Independence. In short, the atheist does not blieve in his own sovereign personhood making him an alien without citizenship, which would account for his tyranny and barbarianism. persons soul

O'Reilly laments the removal of "Saint" but in his typical pseudo-Catholic way, states that sainthood is rewarded by having an iconic status?
Good grief…when will he announce his move to the Episcopalian church? He sure doesn't know his Faith.
