I know that I am not disposed to liking/agreeing with anything President Obama says but…
That speech was the most disingenuous and shameful thing I have heard since Obama made Joe Wilson yell “liar.”
He blamed everyone else for the debt and lied about everything else.
Krauthammer: ““I thought I was cynical until I heard that speech. ” Yeah.
Andrew Stiles : “In terms of blatant, cynical, political demagoguery, the speech was par for the course. “
Boehner’s tear-free response was on point. So much so that his website crashed from all the hits. Maybe Boehner et al got the message? Too soon to tell but maybe?
I dislike Obama about as much as you can dislike a person without going to hell. Maybe.

Facebook wouldn't let me share this on my wall as it said it was already reported as spam! Obama's 2012 campaign geeks are active. I liked your post.

Interesting that this blog post is blocked on Facebook. What did y'all do? 🙂

Wow. I think now I will back away slowly and go check out this speech. You just… have a drink?

I just attempted to post a link to fb as well, and yes it is blocked. I sent a message to fb in protest: "Although it contains stong political opinion, it is not abusive in any sense of the word. Prohibiting this post because it offends someone's political sensibilities is unacceptable. If this sort of thing continues, I will leave facebook for good." If you click on the link that appears in the blocked content message window you will have the opportunity to state why you believe the assement of the content, marked as "abusive," is inaccurate.

Blocked by Facebook???? What's that all about??? I didn't think that was possible. I see some pretty awful stuff out there on young folks' posts, etc. And THIS is blocked? I know the fb crowd is terribly liberal, but this is very scary.

C. S. Lewis said (wisely) that democracy is a method of voting, not a form of government. We as a people get exactly the government for which we vote. And very few of us vote.

Krauthammer nailed it. And Boehner's response pulled no punches.

Patrick,
I'm with you on the sentiment about Obama's speech. But, why was Joe Wilson's "Liar" shout disingenuous and shameful?
I don't think he should have shouted that word at the SotU address. It was indecorous, sure; but it certainly wasn't disingenuous, and (IMHO) not shameful.

ALL links to CMR are blocked from FB. The message I received was that your blog was labeled 'offensive'. I ran into this last week. Write letters! Also, the mobile FB ap on the iPhone DOES allow posts with links to CMR.

Yep, guys, you're blocked by Facebook. You should write an entire post about it. Time to ditch FB. Their b.s. is getting really stinky.

This Facebook stuff is too weird. They let jihadists recruit on their pages, but block THIS web site?
I've never liked FB. Perhaps this is the time to register my disgust by quitting the whole thing?

I just posted a link to the CMR homepage on facebook (and it was not blocked), along with my comment about fb blocking content from this blog being politically driven nonsense. And by the way, I DO agree with your assesment of the King's speech. Keep up the good work.

Ha! I just copied and pasted this as a Note in FB with credit to CMR because when I tried to post it was blocked. Big Brother is watching YOU!
