Speaking as a not-so-young deacon/seminarian that was at WYD (JMJ for you Spanish) and is still suffering from the cold I got there, I can tell you that Fr. Barron is right.
The most incredible moment for me was, after that hellish heat and the incredible storm, when Our Lord appeared in the Blessed Sacrament, 1.5 million people went SILENT and adored him.
That wasn't idol worship, that was love of the Creator of the Universe. That was genuine adoration of the King of Kings. It was amazing.
