Beautiful story! I think it's no coincidence that October is designated both Respect Life Month and Down Syndrome Awareness Month. Respect and care for those with disabilities is a hugely important strand in the pro-life movement.
Pray for the canonization of Servant of God Jerome Lejeune, who paid the price of his reputation and status in dedicating his life to serving those with Down Syndrome, and speaking out against abortion!

The homecoming queen last year at the high school where my siblings graduated was a young lady with Down Syndrome.

As a mom of a beautiful little girl with DS, I'm always happy to see these stories. Wish they were more common!
