So y’all need to hide your kids, hide your wife, and hide your husband cause they’re rapin’ everybody out here …
Carney was asked about Vice President Joe Biden saying rapes and murders will rise if the president’s jobs bill is not passed.
“I think everyone will agree with the equation that fewer police officers on the street has a direct effect on the crime rate. We saw this in the 1990’s. I do know that any lawmaker up on Capitol Hill will contest that simple fact or any American who makes that assessment in their local communities. Would you want fewer or more law enforcement officers on the job? Do you think that having more officers on the job would have a positive impact on crime? That is the point that the President absolutely shares,” Carney said.

As long as the 2nd Amend remains in effect… it's not going to matter about law enforcement. Crime won't go up in the way they're implying because people will start taking care of themselves against criminals if they have to. I would never put my life into the hands of a police department, and SOLELY into the police department because a criminal will act fast. Not enough time for me to call and them get out there. Criminals aren't so apt to attack if they know someone is carrying or their house is defended by a firearm.
Must get away from this nanny-state and stop thinking we're such victims that we have to depend on the gummit for everything. While I enjoy having the police force, I am my first line of defense from an attacker.

What use is the 2nd ammendment if you cannot get a permit to carry unless something already happened or almost happened. What's up with that? Some states are just bone headed.

If those silly carry-permit rules are in effect, plainly the 2nd Amendment isn't.
