Two Planned Parenthoods are joining together to sue the state of Tennessee in an effort to force the state to continue giving them taxpayer money.
Do they have a right to taxpayer money? It would seem they certainly believe so. Mind you, I understand why they might think so since the Obama administration has threatened to shut down the government, threatened to removed Medicare funding for the poor, and sued on PP’s behalf in order to ensure the abortionists receive taxpayer money.
One could understand a feeling of entitlement when the world’s most powerful man is your punk.
And, of course, the media has their back. Check out the lede from The Tennessean:
Abortion opponents are claiming another victory in the battle to defund Planned Parenthood by excluding it from state and federal funding for HIV and syphilis prevention programs.
But the nonprofit is fighting back.
It’s like David vs. Goliath, doncha’ know.
Those big powerful pro-lifers with all the power of the White House and the media behind them attempt to stomp out a group of people gathered together because they believe in a cause greater than themselves.
Oh wait…Strike that. Reverse it.
The two Tennessee Planned Parenthoods sued the state for denying them more than $150,000 in grant money to participate in programs funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Planned Parenthood wants a federal judge to intervene and asked for an injunction against the state.
How much you wanna’ bet they get it?
The report said that the state’s defunding was “based solely on an aversion to abortion.” Gasp! How dare you penalize us for tearing babies apart when pretty much all we do is tear babies apart!!!
Hey, remember when the USCCB balked about losing grants to help sex trafficking victims based solely on the fact that they didn’t provide abortions? The left didn’t seem to care all that much. They yelled that the bishops didn’t have a right to public funding. But somehow it’s out of bounds to suggest that Planned Parenthood should not be funded because they do perform abortions.

Tax money belongs to the tax payer. Put the issue of funding Planned Parenthood on the ballot along with the issue of funding Catholic Charities to help sex trafficking victims along with the issue of Obamacare, along with the issue of Roe v. Wade-ABORTION. The will of the people must be heard through the voice of the people. To compel a man to subsidize with his taxes the propagation of ideas which he disbelieves and abhors is sinful and tyrannical.—-Thomas Jefferson.

You've got to be kidding me, and by that I means it sounds completely in character. They've reached a new level of delusion. Who on earth do they think they are? Like you said, it is no wonder that they think they're above everything an everyone. In the last few days they have proven more problematic and dangerous than I already knew they were. Not good.

Matt, please show us exactly where you get your PP numbers. They say 3% for abortions. Please show me a link to your documention if it exists. Otherwise, it's a SWAG. I appreciate that, to you, 3% is too much. But you write; "How dare you penalize us for tearing babies apart when pretty much all we do is tear babies apart." Your documentation please…

Anonymous,
Here's a link where even NPR had to admit P.P. is fudging statistics regarding abortion:

I don't have much time to comment at the moment, but perhaps you might check here for a refutation/explanation of the oft-quoted and disingenuous "3%" figure?
