A group of 20-30 students vandalized the steps of Dalhgren Chapel on the campus of Georgetown University with both open and closed packs on condoms, liquor bottles, cups, and condoms wrapped around bananas last night at about 10:30 p.m., according to news reports.
One student reportedly told the student newspaper that he was studying nearby when he heard a group of about 20 students gathering in Dahlgren Quad around 10:30 p.m.
“I couldn’t really see what they were doing [but] the one phrase we caught was, ‘Whoever gets the most condoms from one end of the Quad to the other wins,’” he said.

You know, this country needs to serious rethink college. If you want to spend your own money for your kid to spend 5 years fooling around and being a little jackwagon that's fine but why should the rest of us have to pay for student loans?

Agreed! Very few (Christendom, Thomas More and Franciscan as examples) actually educate but rather indoctrinate young people into lives of immorality and chronically enduring adolescence. Imagine the mindset and level of immaturity behind this type of behavior. Frightening!

I'm personally surprised that Georgetown still has a chapel on campus.

What does G'town expect? They have been cultivating that crowd for 30 years.

"What does G'town expect?"
Yeah, that makes me wonder. Hasn't Georgetown bent over backwards to shower the campus with contraceptives anyway? So what's the point?

Depraved.

Dymphna is spot-on. Amen. And I am now adding "jackwagon" to my list of choice words I permit myself to yell around the house.
So much money flushed down the loo. So much effort for what is essentially useless.

@anon – so true. I'm sure the Georgetown staff are outwardly shedding the obligatory crocodile tears, while inwardly smiling at the studens' demonstration of "progressive attitudes".

Maybe it was an approved art project for college credit.

It must have cost a fortune to buy all those condoms and then just waste them. Why, these students will have to take out loans to just reimburse their bank accounts. How much of their $3000 birth control budget did they toss at the steps of the chapel?

These students are being taught what to think rather than how to think.

Vandalism, yes. But shocking? At Georgetown, sadly, no.

We really should pray for these kids. They don't have a chance to know the truth, being educated by a place like Georgetown, so I'm sure they have no idea what they are doing, scandalous as it is. Even more scandalous, if you think about it, is the fact that they are using condoms and fornicating, disgracing the dignity of their persons in whom–if they are baptized–the Holy Spirit resides. But no one ever taught them that, and they sure won't learn it from Georgetown.
