Sr. Carol Keehan of the Catholic Health Association was given one of the commemorative pens used by President Obama in signing the heath care reform bill.

I’m sure it holds a prominent place on her mantle.

But now Keehan has broken with the Obama administration’s plan to force Catholic institutions to provide coverage for abortion drugs and contraception.

So what happens to the pen?

Does she simply take it down and hide it in her desk? Does Obama send the Secret Service to confiscate the pen? I say she should hold a presser and break the thing over her knee and give a rousing speech against government overreach.

More likely, she’ll write a note of apology to him.
