The University of San Diego (USD) will host a lecture series by a radical theologian from England who not only supports abortion but has used just war theory and the imagery of the Trinity to support killing the unborn, advocated sacramental same-sex marriage, and even compared the sacrifice of the Mass to homosexual intercourse.

As a graduate of USD I have mixed feelings about the institution, but I was blessed with many great professors, and was annoyed with a few "spirit of Vatican II" types. I worked double night shifts as a rent-an-LVN and was some seven years paying off the loans; in those days the G.I Bill wouldn't begin to cover private-school expenses.
A school is only as good as its board, and when the wealthy who find their way onto those boards…well, let's remember what St. Thomas More says in Robert Bolt's A MAN FOR ALL SEASONS: "…when statesmen forsake their own private consciences for the sake of their public duties…they lead their country by a short route to chaos."
