I’m trying to see if I can think up a dumber idea than to promulgate the idea that virtual child porn should be legalized.
Hmmm. Nope. I can’t.
Two sex therapists have sparked outrage in the Netherlands by calling for ‘virtual’ child porn to be legalised to relieve the urges of paedophiles.
Amsterdam hospital sexologists Rik van Lunsen and Erik van Beek claim allowing perverts to view drawings or computer-generated images of children would ‘regulate their desires’.
The Netherlands outlawed all sexual representation of children in 2002 as technology made imaginary images too realistic
This logic would seem to continue using the fallacy that you can’t bottle up your sexuality and only by allowing its full flowering can you stop obsessing about sex.
Well, how’s the last 50 years working out for us? We’ve dragged sex out of the bedroom and onto the brightly lit stage for it to become the centerpiece of our culture. And has that made us stop obsessing about sex? Far from it, porn is now an epidemic and the sex tape is the celebrity maker. So now we have everyone having casual sex and what’s happened? Lives have become worse. We’ve got rampant venereal disease, we’ve got a majority of children born to single parents, we’ve got heartbreak and suicide.
But these two sex therapists think virtual child porn is great because it’s a victimless crime because the viewer would just be obsessing about essentially cartoon characters. So all is well, right? Wrong. At some point, guess what happens. That cartoon becomes boring. He travels further down the weirdness hole and he’s probably dragging eight year old’s down into his lair with him.
This is sick.
