Rick– when I created this, I was specifically thinking of all the stupid questions that will be asked in the media ad infinitum, about whether or not the next pope will "change church teaching" on something unchangeable. It's always the same, short list: contraception, abortion, gay marriage, women's ordination. This was just a light-hearted attempt to point out the stupidity of such questions, not to dig deep into the heart of Catholic theological development. I've studied enough to know that our understanding of many concepts, starting with Christ Himself and the Blessed Trinity, have deepened and become clearer over the centuries.
