The Philadelphia abortionist accused of running a “house of horrors” where he performed post-natal abortions by severing the spinal cords of newborns who emerged from their mothers still alive, is on trial.
The district attorney is seeking the death penalty.
Now Dr. Kermit Gosnell, 72, has pled not guilty. Here’s a news report that shows the DA Seth Williams seems pretty on fire to see justice done.

I don't know. Williams has pretty strong Democratic party ties. My suspicion is that he's deliberately setting this up so as to get Gosnell acquitted and still look like he tried his hardest. He can't afford to do anything that might set a negative precedent for the abortion industry down the road, and he probably doesn't want too much publicity on the fact that Gosnell was never investigated because of political pressure by pro-choicers.
