Missile strikes against Syria could be launched “as early as Thursday” senior U.S. officials said Tuesday as the White House intensified efforts toward an international response to the suspected use of chemical weapons.
The “three days” of strikes would be limited in scope, and aimed at sending a message to the regime of Syria president Bashar Assad , U.S. officials told NBC News.
It followed another round of telephone diplomacy by President Barack Obama, who held discussions with Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and French President Francois Hollande on Monday to lay the groundwork for potential military action.
We should all pray and pray hard.

Bombing the innocent to "send a message". What supreme, utter, evil arrogance.
We are the Nazis now.

The American people, quite properly outraged as a small man orders a big war, could not be bothered to vote last November.
Congress cannot bothered to stand up for its own duties in Article 1, Section 8 of the Constitution (perhaps Congress is too busy grilling baseball players).
The Judiciary cannot be bothered to stand up for Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution.
Who is left? One wonders if the nation's poet laureate will bother to scriven out a line or two regarding the matter, or if she will prefer to keep her cozy government position.
