I just got this email from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. It seems Archbishop Charles J. Chaput of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia is encouraging the clergy and faithful to participate in the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops’ (USCCB) nationwide novena to end abortion.
January 22, 2014 marks the 41st anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that made abortion legal throughout the United States. Since then more than 55 million children have lost their lives to abortion.
“9 Days for Life” is a novena with different intercessions, brief reflections and suggested acts of reparation that can be received directly each day by email, text message or through a new mobile application for smartphones. It allows for a wide variety of ways for people of all ages and circumstances to participate. The novena of prayer also spans the March for Life where thousands of pilgrims from the Archdiocese will travel to Washington, DC, on January 22, 2014.
It starts tomorrow so I thought you’d like to know. It seems like a good idea to me.
You can find out more at the USCCB website.

That innocent people must die and that their parents do not trust in God to protect us all is an American tragedy. Human existence is the criterion for the objective ordering of human rights. Since the child makes a father of a man and a mother of a woman, the child creates the family. The child's will to live is the child's right to life. To destroy the child's free will is to destroy freedom.

The largest "human" army ever!
And guess who is their Captain?
It would be quite prudent to turn to the BVM and this extremely influential, and powerful army in supplication for all the blasphemies, outrageous, sacrileges, insults, indifferences and ingratitudes inflicted upon these li'l souls!
These li'l innocents fragrance inebriates and intoxicates heaven by their presence. It is on account of the lack of mercy denied them on earth, that through the justice of the Divine Will, there will be a "whole lotta' shakin' goin' on"!
