This is nuts and totally not suitable for work as the two pro-lifers, a 16 year old and a 21 year old, are cursed at quite a bit. But this is the kind of thing that you really should see. A professor at the University of California, Santa Barbara professor appears to have stolen a graphic anti-abortion sign from the two girls and then assaulted one of the protesters earlier this month.
The professor is Mireille Miller-Young of the feminist studies department who specializes in queer theory, black film and pornography. She needs to be fired immediately. Immediately.
According to reports, the prof saw the sign and started a chant among students to “tear down this sign” and then when nobody did she stole it along with two of her crony students and that’s when the video starts as she attempts to get away and then blocks the girls from getting on an elevator. This is when the pushing starts.

In other words, parents, just flush $33,000 into the toilet rather than send your kids here.

Yeah, she's in the teaching tradition of Plato, Socrates, C.S. Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Barbara Carr (Stephen F. Austin State), and James R. Moriarty (U of San Diego).
One of life's more important cautions is that one never trusts anyone with a hyphenated name.

Sorry for the extra "and." I barely graduated from high school, so it's understandable.

This woman is probably possessed. Promoting such subject matter as pornography and homosexuality would be an easy opening to possession.

I wish the headline (and the call to police) didn't call it a "sign." Before I watched the video, I thought she walked off with something like the 2'x3' posters used at quiet demonstrations. Rude, but really not quite thievery in the same sense. I think she would have been more successful with police if they knew this professor marched off with an entire display. It was also very discouraging to hear students tell them that since they don't pay tuition to go there, they have no right to be up in arms about the professor's actions. Appalling.

Some of these professors think they can act with impunity. Really digusting! Doesn't matter if they are a gross pervert! They are entitled to their free speech, but don't allow others their opinions. I agree money thrown down a rat hole! I hope she gets the "bleep"! sued out of her!

Okay, I graduated premed biology and biochemistry in 2002-. I still can't, for the life of me wrap my head around the idea. Much less the course "queer theory". What the @$#! Does that even mean?
In a little over ten years, college level education has slipped into total illiberal madness.
Homosexuality is the new litmus test to ones "open mindedness" where when I was in college, this term would've been laughed off the canpus…. good grief

The state does not give an innocent soul life or sovereign personhood, the state cannot take innocent soul's life. The state brings a condemned murderer to Justice. Roe v. Wade is an injustice, a miscarriage of Justice. Human sacrifice is the chief form of worship of the devil, next comes fornication.I hope Mireille Miller-Young gets sued for theft and assault and battery, inculcating vice in uninformed minds and for being a bully.

…and some professors lament what academia has become. From such noble beginnings under the auspices of the Church which westernized many educational practices from the Greeks to the education imparted by priests and monks, early Catholic scientists like Mendel, the father of my field of research….to this nonsense. I can barely even cite a quote from a great thinker like St. Augustine without groans. I don't even mind learning about deviant lifestyles, as they must be encountered. It's the celebration of deviancy that bothers me. It's the suppression of disagreement that is anti intellectualism. This is what I lament in my sentence. The anti intellectual movement and suppression of ideas at most universities.

Sooo true!
Intellectual honesty and moral integrity still matter!

Oh my goodness!
Occasionally see Barbara Carr at Mass. Took a Medical Ethics of the Catholic Church Class she instructed at the Catholic Renewel Center. Me and a friend, who also has special needs children, stood our ground. This class hasn't been offered in years. I think the diocese of San Diego hoisted the white flag and left it behind in memorium. 🙁
