Sedevacantism, in all its forms, is the theological equivalent of putting your hands to your ears and saying “LaLaLaLa…I can’t hear you….LaLaLa!!”

There is no such easy escape from reality. The Pope is the Pope, with all the graces and charisms of the office. Those charisms do not prevent any Popes from doing or allowing great damage to the Church. The last century is proof of that. Sedevacantism is just the flipside of the ultramontanist coin. No Pope is perfect, but their imperfection has its limits, this Pope included.
