So let me just get this straight. Bill Clinton was the first black president and now Barack Obama is the first Jewish president.

So if Obama had a son he’d be…Joe Lieberman?

Daily Caller:

President Barack Obama apparently thinks he’s the closest thing to a Jewish president America has ever had.

Speaking to JPUpdates.com, top Obama confidant David Axelrod described a moment where the president expressed exasperation to him over being derided as anti-Israel by some.

“You know, I think I am the closest thing to a Jew that has ever sat in this office,” the president claimed, according to Axelrod. “For people to say that I am anti-Israel, or, even worse, anti-Semitic, it hurts.”

I guess this works because Clinton was the first black president and then he was accused of being racist by Obama. And now Obama is the first Jewish president and he treats Israel like garbage.

There’s no way Axelrod just says something like this on his own. This is a play to the Jews who’ve reportedly become increasingly discontent with how Obama treats Israel. But everything is identity politics. Why? Because we’re stupid. Not naturally stupid. But stupid because we’ve mostly been taught to be stupid. So there’s no ideology. And in place of ideas, you get identity. It’s not about what you want the country to be it’s about what you are. Not who you are but what category you fit into.

That’s what drives me crazy about a guy running for president like Martin O’Malley. This guy brings up his Catholicism a lot. I mean, a lot. Joe Biden’s the same way. He brings up his Catholicism and if you don’t like it he’ll make you swallow his rosary beads or something. We know why. It’s identity politics. It’s not about the faith at all. It’s identity politics because to conservative leaning Catholics he’s Catholic but on the other hand to the lefties he’s not actually Catholic enough to worry them. You know, not one of those wacko oogedy-boogedy Catholics.

He’ll chat up how his faith informs his decision making on social justice issues like raising taxes or on abolishing the death penalty. But when it comes to abortion he just can’t see how faith should play any role whatsoever in politics. Weird, huh?

So in the end Bill Clinton can be the first black president, Barack Obama can be the first Jewish president. And Martin O’Malley can be the next Catholic president. It’s all about identity. And fake identity.
