CNS News quotes Senator Elizabeth Warren as referring to GOP efforts to defund Planned Parenthood and saying:

“When I talk about 1955, I’m talking about a world where women died,” Warren said. “I’m talking about a world where women committed suicide rather than go forward with a pregnancy they could not handle.”

But wait. Hold on here a second would ya’? I thought none of the federal funds that go to Planned Parenthood ever fund abortion. That is, of course, the law, and Planned Parenthood swears none of it does. So why oh why does Senator Warren believe that defunding Planned Parenthood will have an effect on women’s access to abortion.

Please explain.
