This precious note was from the website of Saint Francis Liberal Catholic Church:
Join in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist by one of the first women ordained to the priesthood by the Liberal Catholic Church. The Rev. Diana Cabigting from the Oratory of Saint Uriel in Wheaton, Illinois, will be visiting us Sunday, July 8, to celebrate the Holy Eucharist and deliver the homily. The church service will start at 10am with a vegetarian potluck to follow.
The church newsletter is proud of its “Liturgy in the venacular, open communion, maried priests and bishops, absence of dogmas…” It’s the absence of dogma thing which gets me wondering. Wonder what would happen to all that lack of dogma if someone asked for a cheeseburger at the next potluck.
