I love this.
During a soccer match on Easter Sunday, opposing soccer fans chanted at each other.
However these were not the usual taunts one would expect from soccer fans. The opposing fans took turns chanting “Christ Is Risen” and “Truly He Is Risen.”
Awesome.
Moscow, April 5, Interfax – Fans greeted each other on Easter at a Sunday evening soccer match at Moscow Lokomotiv stadium.
At the beginning of the second half of the match thousands of fans of Dynamo team started chanting “Christ is Risen!”, an Interfax correspondent reports.
Thousands of fans of Lokomotiv teeam on the opposite side of the stadium responded by chanting “Truly He is Risen!”
The exchange took place several times.
The correspondent who has attended soccer matches for almost 50 years says it was the occurrence of this kind in the history of Russian soccer.

Rick said: …I think being Democrat and believing in Christ is mutually exclusive.
Absolutely true! Lucifer was the first democrat. And we all know what happened to him…and his followers.
Queen of Heaven rejoice, alleluia: For He whom you merited to bear, alleluia, Has risen as He said, alleluia.
Pray for us to God, alleluia.
Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.

VOISTINOO VOSKRESSE !
Holy Russia is over 1,000 years old, with millions of Orthodox Christians, many of whom are curretly in Christ's eternal Kingdom and awaiting millions of their offspring to join them in this 21st century.
Now, THAT's the reality ! What difference do economic conditions make to THIS FACT ?

Alleluia! God must be very pleased and Mama Mary must be smiling! The angels and saints in heaven must be singing and celebrating! The rosary crusades were not in vain after all; now let's rally for our own USA.

Why not have the Catholics pay attention to Catholic problems and stop trying to convert Orthodox Christians? They managed to survive 70 years under Communism. They have been there for over 1000 years. Their bishops and priests are considered valid by Rome, as are their other sacraments. Instead of Russia, with millions of Christians under an established apostolic Church, why aren't you focusing on the US, Europe or the poor confused people who make ip the Anglican Communion? Stop meddling in Orthodox Russia!

Christos Voskrese! Voistinu Voskrese!
This is fantastic! Such a great clip. I think Nzie put it into very real life perspective beautifully.
I also completely agree that Catholics should mind their Catholic problems. For those who obviously need a refresher, stand by for your five minute history lesson.
Here we go:
1. It was the Catholic church that split from Orthodoxy during The Great Schism of 1054 and not the other way around.
2. The Patriarch of the West (you call him the Pope) is a fallable man-no matter what way you slice it. He and his creepy clergy are proving that time and time again as the lawsuits surface more and more. I'm a convert from Catholicism so I do know what I'm talking about.
3. The "Immaculate Conception" just isn't possible. If that was what truly happened, then Jesus wouldn't be the "Son of Man". Mary was not perfect at birth. She had free will just like the rest of us, and it was by that free will that she was able to say "Let it be done unto Me, according to Thy Will" that made her perfect and gave Jesus his human element.
Pop quiz: Did anyone other than my fellow Orthodox Christians know that the Theotokos actually gave the Archangel Gabriel the third degree when he came to her in the garden?
Pretty amazing stuff. Hope y'all enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it.
Semper Fi to all my Orthodox brethren in uniform.

Why do Catholics and manifold protestant religions go around prosletizing in Orthodox countries? Let them stand back up on their feet and embrace their ancient Christian heritage…. image Patriarch Kirill sending missionaries to the Vatican. This video shows that the christian heart of Russia is beating yet. It's an orthodox heart, not catholic.

the Vatican wants to consecrate Russia?? Am I missing something??? Russia was consecrated over 1000 years ago..!!! You're a bit late. We chose Orthodoxy via the Bulgarians in 998AD. I've never heard a Catholic say "Christ is Risen."
