Sir David Attenborough, British Broadcaster and ‘naturalist’ (read extreme environmentalist) says what most other extreme environmentalists think.
The television presenter said that humans are threatening their own existence and that of other species by using up the world’s resources.
He said the only way to save the planet from famine and species extinction is to limit human population growth.
“We are a plague on the Earth. It’s coming home to roost over the next 50 years or so. It’s not just climate change; it’s sheer space, places to grow food for this enormous horde. Either we limit our population growth or the natural world will do it for us, and the natural world is doing it for us right now,” he told the Radio Times.
Sir David, who is a patron of the Population Matters, has spoken out before about the “frightening explosion in human numbers” and the need for investment in sex education and other voluntary means of limiting population in developing countries.
Humans are the plague, humans are the problem, humans must die. Don’t for a second think that population control means simply contraception, it means dead people. The right kind of dead people, of course. Those in those developing countries, you know, the other.
Think I am exaggerating? SIr David goes on to complain that we put on prgrammes and benefits to save people from famine in Ethiopia.
“We keep putting on programmes about famine in Ethiopia; that’s what’s happening. Too many people there. They can’t support themselves — and it’s not an inhuman thing to say. It’s the case. Until humanity manages to sort itself out and get a coordinated view about the planet it’s going to get worse and worse.”
They don’t care if people die, they want people to die. That is the point of a plague, isn’t it?

At the risk of stating the obvious, aren't human beings a naturally occurring part of the food chain? We are the apex predator (to use the naturalist term). When you remove the apex predator from an ecosystem, it creates a host of new problems beginning with an over population of their prey.
It's not a very scientific position for him to take. It just sounds good and makes the news.

Notice that Sir David has not killed himself or any of HIS family. It's always the brown and black kids over there somewhere who ought to die. David Attenborough makes me sick. I'll never watch any of his shows again.

What is it Mark Shea says regarding this mindset? I think it's "Just enough of me; way too much of you."

Dymphna hits it square on the head – it's always the little brown people elsewhere who should die.

Interestingly, the "overpopulation as self-serving lie so English people can mistreat the poor" is actually the idea's original form. Malthus, after all, wrote in reaction to the 19th century egalitarians—essentially his original thesis was that if the common people were given conditions that didn't kill 2/3 their children, everyone would starve. Nice to know that spirit lives on.

I honestly do not really understand how these giants of the new age don't practise what they preach and pee off the planet themselves. As usual it is everyone that needs to get off the planet.
