Just when you thought people had run out of alternatives for Elixir of Ipecac…

After about 10 seconds, I couldn't watch anymore…
Maybe it's just me, but I observe that even the priests' awkwardness shows that this is out of place…
I'm glad the validity of the sacraments are not dependent on the impeccability of the priests.

"Therefore, we who are receiving the unshakable kingdom should have gratitude, with which we should offer worship pleasing to God in reverence and awe." Heb 12:28
Is this reverent?
Are Pentacostals wrong when the do this type of thing/swagger etc?
Should Gospel music be banned from urban RC masses?
Does it depend on the particular community?

I'm more undecided on music at Mass than most who post here, but this was just freakin' awful.
I'm pretty sure we're not called to awkwardly shake our groove thang in the presence of the Lord.

Man, those guys would never make it on Dancing with the Stars!
October 5, 2009 at 11:49 pm
Quite correct, Let's leave the embarrasing dance and groove thangs to Tom Delay.

How incredibly embarassing!

That looks like the kind of song and hand movements that are popular here in Vacation Bible Schools for LITTLE kids. Maybe they got the programs mixed up? Ha ha.

The word "repellent" comes to mind.

You sure this is a Mass and not an audition for "Up With People"?
October 6, 2009 at 1:35 am
Feh. It's just an outgrowth of your average LifeTeen/youth mass. Not that it makes it acceptable . . .

What I found myself thinking was…
What's the point?
I mean, really? What's the point? There is no discernible liturgical meaning in this thing. The poor guy on the far right was reading a note card. It just don't make any sense.

I recall King David dancing before the Ark, the Presence of God. But these guys don't look that Spirit-filled.
October 6, 2009 at 2:55 am
outrageous! why can't priest behave like priests?
October 6, 2009 at 3:24 am
How about, ANATHEMA SIT!
October 6, 2009 at 3:47 am
Father forgive them. They know not what they do.
October 6, 2009 at 4:09 am
I'm not sure it is just the dancing, the venue, or the music that bothers me most. Perhaps it is a priest wearing stylish shades at the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass.

The muzak of hell.
