Hmmmmm.
This is news? Really? A coupla women who make Fran Drescher sound pleasant run to the media because they didn’t like the priest’s hand motions? Really?
A few comments. The podium? Oy.
If these two (ahem) delightful women were giving a eulogy during the liturgy, the priest couldn’t have wrapped it up quickly enough.
I wasn’t there and I am loathe to take side, but I am confident that Gramma is in a much better place, if you know what I mean.

Besides a eulogy being forbidden, I wouldn't want any of my family members to think they had to get up and say something. It's a time for mourning, not speeches.
I think I'll have this brief eulogy printed on the back of my funeral program: "I, ____________, am a sinner. Please pray for me. Thank you."
A Sinner

Being a priest for 27 years, I have experienced more anti-Catholic, anti-Priest and anti-Church hatred than I care to remember — from our own people and from non-Catholics.
I have also had my share of what I call "pagan Catholic" Funerals, Weddings and Baptisms. During these shocking, usually narcissistic, and supremely disrespectful mockeries, I have had to confront outright blasphemies, anti-Catholic filibustering, desecration of the Eucharist and of the Church building, and several other outrages. And, yes, I was angry. I never went over the "red line" and exploded, but I was demanding, bossy and abrupt when I deemed these necessary — to put a halt to these sinful actions, and especially when the Eucharist was being desecrated.
I do not know my brother priest involved in the news report above. Maybe he finally reached his limit, went over that "red line" and exploded. God help him. If he truly did outrageous things and insulted the "victims" then he must acknowledge this and apologize — and start praying more (and perhaps get some help with anger management).
What I do know is that this "news report" (an eternally long 3 minutes-17 seconds, for our Media's usual 5-second-sound-byte coverage) is nothing more than anti-Catholic news people rejoicing at their opportunity to try to disgrace that Priest, embarrass the Catholic Church, and mock our Faith, Liturgies, and Catholic sensibilities.
Disgusting!
