What a bunch of fools. They cheer the downfall of a once great civilization.
The Politico reports:
Striking what advocates believe is a historic victory for gay rights, the New York state senate Friday approved same-sex marriage, New York a promised governor’s signature away from being the sixth and largest state to allow gays and lesbians to marry.
The 33-29 vote is an enormous victory for first-year Gov. Andrew Cuomo, a Democrat who pledged during last fall’s campaign to push for gay marriage. It comes after an intense public and private lobbying campaign from a wide cast of politicians, celebrities and athletes, including New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg and former President Bill Clinton.
Marriage became legally meaningless in New York today.
And every child in public schools in New York will learn that marriage is between a man and a man or a woman and a woman or maybe a man and a woman.
Update: Wasn’t this accomplished the moment most people accepted the unitive functions of sexuality without the procreative aspect.

The basic groundwork for "gay marriage" was twofold: 1) societal acceptance of "no fault divorce" and 2) societal acceptance of contraception, through artificial or natural means. "No fault divorce" eviscerated the permanence of marriage. Contraception made the procreative function of sex subordinate to the unitive. Marriage has become primarily a sexual union that is neither permanent nor procreative, making "gay marriage" a "thinkable thought."
The "public Church" says almost nothing about cohabitation or concubinage, and continues to speak of marriage in a way that is inconsistent with its own "pastoral" practices: when do we ever hear, from a pulpit, about the sins of divorce, cohabitation, or contraception? "Gay marriage" is opposed as a contradiction of teachings that aren't even defended in the pulpit
Those charged with preaching and defending the teachings of the Church should do so without being silent about both natural and eternal consequences. Why should anyone take Archbishop Dolan seriously when he is, for the most part, "all talk and no walk"? Does ANYONE suffer any visible consequences for public sin? Does Archbishop Dolan ever say, when defending traditional marriage, that homosexuality itself is sinful and, therefore, all by itself incapable of becoming a bond of "marriage"? It's good to bluster about "you can't redefine nature," but why consistently ignore that, at its root, "gay marriage" is the institutionalization of sin? Lost in all the rhetoric about respect and dignity is the underlying reality that homosexual activity is always sinful.
Preach and teach the Truth consistently and, maybe, the Church can regain its moral authority in the public square.

Is there any way that the people of New York State can recall their governor? If not, then this is a lesson of the voting booth. If you blindly vote for a person because of a political party or because he's promising you a "free lunch" then you got your reward.
Otherwise, you'll have to remember this sixteen months later so you vote the responsible party out! This vote is a vote of "misplaced compassion", and you will suffer for it.
Remember, pray for the sinners (as we all are) and do your best by legislation to out these "Judases" and "Pilates" .
Remember, God will be the final judge and they will get their just punishments in the end.

Mr. Cuomo boasts of his phyyric victory in passing legislation on gay marriage(without approval of the electorate). He fails to recognize that our enemies are rejoicing over another step taken toward the dissolution of our society. The family is the bedrock of stability in our country. History teaches us that whenever a country is de-stabilized it collapses.Sparta comes to mind. They did not procreate. Therefore, they deprived the country of children who would have formed the nucleus for future generations.

I live in NY. I did not vote for Cuomo. I voted for the Italian guy that the media labeled the homophobic bigot. I wonder how many of the Catholics that I see in Church on Sunday voted for Cuomo? I bet a lot of them did. I know of many people who go to church and then say, "well I'm a Catholic but I don't agree with the Church on ….whatever". These are the people, along with Cuomo and the legislature, who betrayed us.

You see how human beings, created in the image and likeness of God, have degraded themselves. This will never happen in the animal kingdom. Was God unfair to Sodom and Gomorah?

Religion is man's response to God's gift of Faith. Freedom of Religion would preclude atheism. The wedding between God and man cannot be altered by definition. God loves us perfectly. When two become one, a family is created and blessed (graced) by God. The other stuff has no meaning, no purpose, no reality as two men cannot become one. Two women cannot become one. The human soul cannot become a soul for the devil, because the devil has no body and is a pure evil spirit without a soul. Jesus descended into hell to make sure the devils knew their place in creation, and the devils' place in creation is pure annihilation, eternal damnation. And the devils chose hell over admitting that God is the Sovereign of all. WHO is like unto God. Truth is like unto God. Two become one in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony by the power of the HOLY SPIRIT. Everything else is perjury in a court of law. There is no such thing as a vocation to gay marriage. If one wants to continue as an honest human being, one must admit that there is no such thing as a vocation to gay marriage. Proponents of gay marriage reproduce by kidnapping the souls of our innocent virgins.
