She hasn’t even officially announced her presidential campaign yet, but already Rep. Michele Bachmann is virtually tied with Mitt Romney in the 2012 Iowa caucus polling season.
Wow.
WASHINGTON — Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) said Friday that the 2012 elections was not the time for Republicans to nominate someone with a wavering record on abortion, alluding to one of her competitors in the race.
Speaking via Skype to the National Right to Life’s Convention in Jacksonville, Fla., the Minnesota Republican did not mention former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney by name. But the target of her dig was clear.
The 2012 race, she said, was “not the time for Republicans to put up a candidate who is weak on this issue and has a history of flip-flopping on this issue.”
Really? hmmmm.

Avast, there be a troll in these waters

Obviously looking for Huffpost….that site runs rampant with inappropriate language in place of logical discourse, and has no discernible Catholic forum.

Bachmann is great. Much better that Romney. Let's see how far she can go, I am rooting.

Anon11:55 (close to Doomsday clock, tic toc, btw)- the use of that word as a noun may seem clever or appropriate from a bizarro catholic perspective, but it is neither "creative" nor of the "minority" as we likely will hear it at presidential debates from the mouths of both candidates and panelists, as well as from the mouths of babes on YouTube. "Oh honey, Tiffany's first word was…." Yeah, Blanche, followed by "you."
Anon, why don't you run? I understand there's a pop song already top o da charts f'ya.

To Anony @11:55 – Obama's record is terrible. Unemployment, inflation, gas and food prices are all way up.
Michelle Bachmann could easily beat him because Obama doesn't have a leg to stand on.
Now go back to whatever cave you trolls dwell in. Exit is clearly stage left.

When your first response off the bat comes with expetives (such as the F-bomb above from Anonymous on June 25th at 11:55PM), you know that you are on the right track. He/She/It obviously sees it as a possibility with considerable impact on his/her/it's way of life…and death.

I like Michelle Bachmann very much. She stood out among the others in the recent Republican debate. I'd vote for her right this minute.

I'm sitting watching Chris Christie on MTP.
Presidentio (Santo) subito! Michelle can sit second chair on the right and I'm cool.
Christie, "Anyone who'd pick me for VP would have to be sedated!" Draft this guy NOW.
June 26, 2011 at 5:04 pm
Go Michele! Iowa is also a pioneer in gay marriage…years and months ahead of NY. So, Iowa is a funny state. Not sure we can read too much into the fact that she's polling right alongside Mitt. Huckabee was a flash in the pan here, too (unfortunately).

I like Michelle Bachman aswell but I don't know if she can carry the ticket as president. Either way you are about to see the most vile and disgusting display in American political history as the Obamassiah attempts to maintain his apotheosis.

I like Michelle Bachman, but since she belongs to the Wisconsin Synod of Evangelical Lutherans, I have a question. Doesn't that church say in their doctrine that the Pope is the Anti-Christ? I think I heard that somewhere. I sure hope it isn't true because she could lose a lot of Catholic votes that way.
June 26, 2011 at 10:01 pm
She's not my favorite candidate, but she's dead on about Romney. I wish Santorum had said it. Did anyone see him on Glenn Beck last week. He was being interviewed with a checklist of issues important to Glenn. Santorum's the man!!!
June 26, 2011 at 11:17 pm
She's conservative, smart and cute. Libs hate that.
June 27, 2011 at 1:40 am
Santorum and Bachmann… Bachamann and Santorum. Anything else would be… uncivilized.
June 27, 2011 at 6:14 am
There are lots of WELS people around here, trust me the idea that Papacy=Anti-Christ is part of what their church teaches.

I have to say, I'm really getting tired of the whole "flip-flop" thing. I'm not a fan of Romney by any means, so this certainly is no defense, but why can people not change their minds? Aren't we as Catholics in a sense in the business of conversion of heart and mind? Personally, the more people who "flip" to advocating a pro-life position the better!
