You have to watch this video.
A questioner asks Rep. Kathy Hochul (NY State 26th District)about her support of the HHS mandate and the Constitution at a townhall meeting. She admits that they don’t care about the Constitution. After the entire rooms erupts, she tries to backtrack a bit by repeating the administration’s talking points. But you should stick around to the end because the questioner rhetorically walks her into a corner and she has no where to go. Priceless.

Unfortunately for American citizens, many of our representatives don't care that they have no Constitutional basis or logical reason for the laws they pass. They have the power to pass laws and mandates and there isn't anything we can do about it. And they stay in power because they give their voting blocks and lobbyists what they want regardless of whether it conforms to any true standard of constitutionality or morality.
I hate to sound so pessimistic, but when you look at the actions of government over the last few years (possibly decades) can anyone honestly say with a straight face that we have a representative democracy?

In a sick and twisted way, I love just how pathetic she is. Is that venial or mortal?

"Well, clearly there's more work to be done."
Yes, clearly there's more work to be done to get all the Constitution ignoring, perjury ridden representatives out of the US Congress and the White House. (Perjury since they took an oath to uphold the US Constitution.)

Democrat pols:
"You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and he stood not in the truth; because truth is not in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father thereof."

The biggest mistake we can make as Catholics is to limit the debate to Catholic Institutions. I as an individual Catholic have Religious liberty as well and should not have to violate my conscience either. I understand the institutions have the money and are easier to point to as a group, but let's not forget individuals have the constitutional right in the first place. Some Bishops are including individuals when talking freedoms, which is good, but we need to make sure more people are talking about it as well.
