The legion of evil, aka US Senate, has refused to restore the basic conscience protections afforded us by the US Constitution by tabling the Blunt Amendment.
We should seriously reconsider the use of tar and feathers as a method of seeking redress.
Key pro-abortion senators including Clare McCaskill of Missouri and Jon Tester of Montana voted against the amendment — which will energize pro-life advocates against their re-election campaigns this November. On the other side, Bob Casey of Pennsylvania, Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Ben Nelson of Nebraska were three Democrats who crossed sides and voted with Republicans to support the amendment.
Update from Matt: I, for one, don’t believe for a second that Casey or Nelson would’ve voted for the amendment if they’d been needed by the Democrats. I believe they’ve vowed fealty to the Democratic Party and feel allegiance to no other cause other than their own reelection.
If the Dems needed their vote, they would’ve been on the other side. Bet on it.

If you've got the tar, I have the feathers (pet ducks and geese here).

Time to get serious about standing up to tyranny.

No, not tar and feathers. Proposing that just gives ammo to folks like ProudHilbilly. What should be done is that any bill providing funding to HHS in any way, shape or form be philibustered until the First Amendment is respected and followed by the regime. We can call it Operation Monkeywrench.

Right Anon…all goverment good…all belief that one should practice one's religion…bad.

Oh, good grief. Assume much do you? I was referring to refusal to obey. There is no moral difference between providing a contraception that works by abortion and directly providing an abortion. Abortion is the killing of an innocent human being. No government, no entity at all can command that.

Ben Nelson is not seeking reelection, so there would be no reason for him to appease voters by voting for the amendment.

Come now. Maybe those who voted against it were just confused by the question like Romney was. I'm sure they will issue a correction and the bill will be passed any minute now…

wow, my comment was removed. I guess comments that are against violence are bad. Oh well, voting against women's health I'd a loser.
