Nadya Suleman, better known as Octomom, admits that she was not in the right state of mind when she, single and mother of 6 children already, underwent more IVF to have 8 more children. From the NYDaily News:
Nadya Suleman will do anything for her octuplets, but now she admits it was a mistake to have them.
The mother of 14, who recently posed nude to earn rent money for her family, has revealed she thinks it was a bad decision to undergo fertility treatments after already having six babies.
“Was it a mistake to go back and have IVF after having six children already?” NBC News Dateline correspondent Tamron Hall asked in an interview that aired Friday night.
“Yes,” Suleman said. “Absolutely. Was I in my lucid state of mind? I don’t know at that point. I could rationalize myself away and I’m good at rationalizing.”
Nadya, dear, you are not alone. I think the entire country is good at rationalizing the realities of IVF. While most other countries have strict rules regulating IVF, the United States has decided to let fertility docs “regulate” themselves. The US is the fertility Wild Wild West where an unmarried mother of 6, whose is not her her right mind, can have her every wish fulfilled without any thought for the children that are being mass-produced.
Our current situation began with this bit of rationalizing about “reproductive rights” not actually in the Constitution by the US Supreme Court and it continues unabated:
“If the right of privacy means anything, it is the right of the
individual, married or single, to be free from unwarranted governmental
intrusion into matters so fundamentally affecting a person as the
decision whether to bear or beget a child.”
Our unregulated fertility industry will continue unabated, even onto reproductive cloning, until we figure out we do not have a “right” to reproduce. A child is a gift not a right.

One rude comment: "It's a uterus, not a clown car". Delete this if it is too much.

Yeahhhh – I really don't care about the parents. I care about the kids – they have a right to not be viewed as feathers in the cap of someone who just wants to reproduce. Just take what God gives you. And rejoice in it.

People like the Duggars who are willing to be open to live and have more than the standard 2 children are the hope of this world. God bless all families but especially those families that love God and His will for the number of their children.

LOOK, LOOK, AT WHAT THE SUPREME COURT HAS SAID: “unwarranted governmental intrusion into matters so fundamentally affecting a person as the decision whether to bear or beget a child.” OR BEGET A CHILD, OR BEGET A CHILD, OR BEGET A CHILD MEANS THAT A CHILD BEGOTTEN IS A CHILD BEGOTTEN. The child begotten is a child begotten, not a clump of cells, not the product of conception, or the contents of the womb, A CHILD BEGOTTEN, A CHILD BEGOTTEN WHEN TWO BECOME ONE, A SOVEREIGN PERSON, A HUMAN BEING COMPOSED OF IMMORTAL, RATIONAL SOUL AND A HUMAN BODY IS A CHILD BEGOTTEN.
Planned Parenthood has been swindling us.
In Engel.v. Vitale, the SUPREME COURT SAID THAT THE ATHEIST “COULD GO HER OWN WAY”. The newspapers bannered PRAYER BAN. The atheist has been swindling us since then, taking away our civil rights to acknowledge our Creator of unalienable rights, our freedom of speech to God, our freedom of press and peaceable assembly by describing prayer as a crime. FREEDOM

@Mary De Voe:“(O)r beget a child” is the Supreme Court contradicting its reasoning in “right to privacy”. The newly begotten child has every unalienable right from “our Creator”. All men are CREATED equal, and therefore, the begotten child has every “right to privacy”, every right to LIFE, of the birthed citizen in Roe v. Wade. The U.S. Supreme Court’s contradiction in their own words: “or beget a child”, is the Comstock Lode in the reversal of human sacrifice and the restoration of civilization and America’s founding principles.

What becomes legal becomes normal, and because it is legally sanctioned, what becomes normal becomes moral.

BUT if they are going to IVF, they must let all of them live!

OMGosh… I just realized that I am an "octomom"… But I DID have them… one… at… a… time… in the normal "one husband Theology of the Body" way. Posing nude for rent money, though? That's a bit too MUCH Theology of the Body for me, or anyone, especially for someone who has had 8 or 14 children… just sayin' 😉
