I. Think. I. Just. Had. A. Stroke.
I think I tweeted this as a joke after the Mittaster.
Exclusive: Jeb Bush Meets with Former Aides near White House
Washington, D.C. — Former Florida governor Jeb Bush met Monday with a group of his former staffers at the J. W. Marriott hotel on Pennsylvania Avenue, just steps from the White House. Bush, a potential 2016 presidential contender, spent an hour in the hotel’s Cannon room, reminiscing and entertaining questions about his political future.
Matthew will tell you I used to be a big Jeb fan. Not anymore.
My general sentiment is that I am pretty much done with politics as I think we will hit the point of no return before anything can be done about it electorally.
So I have pretty much resigned myself to preaching the gospel and building a chicken coop and an ice house in my backyard, stocking firewood, and practicing my bow.
I can picture Jeb’s campaign slogan now.
“Doom also, just slower.”
That should work.

Thats funny. I feel the same. As a matter of fact, i converted a rubbermaid 7×7 shed into a coop last year. My little ones got to see the eggs hatch. Nothing quite like seeing them gasp at the miracle of life when the eggs hatch:)

Patrick, I just want you to know, I love you and agree with you wholeheartedly. In terms of politics, my cup of "give a crap" is absolutely dry bones empty. It's time to just focus on Jesus.

I agree. I put this together with your post on the need for the strong-silent-type-man. In our house, the conversations are about generators versus guns. And then if we discuss generators, it is solar versus diesel. With diesel we could use veg. oil… He won't let us have chickens because of the dogs.

I would take Ronald Reagan in his current state over another Bush.
